Ensuring we run our business in a way that minimises our carbon impact is an ongoing and key priority. Look for our FSC® and PEFC certified products.
ECO-FRIENDLY STREBORD
All Strebord products carry either FSC® or PEFC certification and can be specified with the confidence that Falcon Timber Ltd are committed to sourcing all of its timber from responsibly managed forests. Furthermore, a large percentage of raw materials used in manufacturing STREbord are from recycled materials.
STREbord Products
Falcon Timber Ltd are committed to sourcing wood panel products from legitimate and legal suppliers / manufacturers. It is company policy, first and foremost, to source products from suppliers who themselves are members of recognised environmental schemes.
As part of this commitment, Falcon Timber Ltd are members of the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®), the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification schemes (PEFC) and Timber Development UK. For future requirements the company will continue to source panel products responsibly and promote the environmental benefits of wood as a natural, renewable material.
ENDANGERED SPECIES
The company will not source any timber species prohibited under Appendix 1 of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES).
ORIGIN OF WOOD FIBRE
The company is committed to reducing and ultimately eradicating timber sourced from uncertified high-value conservation forests, from natural forest converted to non-forest use or from forests where there is serious conflict with, or violation of, civil rights. The company will not source timber from genetically modified trees.
