INSTALLING
STREbord® panels are usually fixed directly and simply to the supporting structural steelwork using self-tapping screws. Ensuring the longer tongue is uppermost, the boards are laid in a traditional staggered, brick-bond pattern. Joints should be tightly formed and all short edges supported. A minimum 10mm expansion gap is normally recommended between the deck edge and any wall.
Following these simple guidelines will give a smart, secure finish and when stiffly and evenly supported, STREbord® may accommodate hand pallet truck loadings exceeding 1.0 ton dependent on support centres. CLEATS
Falcon Timber’s STREbord Beam floor beam is designed using an inset web cleat to maximise the use of the available head room.
Falcon Timber’s standard mezzanine cleats are manufactured from 3mm pre-hot dipped galvanised steel, S450 GD Z275 material.
All holes are Ø14mm for M12 bolts, Non-standard cleats are available please contact our Technical Team for further details.
RESTRAINT TIES
M12 threaded bar supplied with four nuts and four washers to provide restraint to opposing pairs of STREbord Beam joists. Tie bars are always fitted between the bottom holes nearest the free flange.
